Classification and characteristics of cylindrical roller bearings

Cylindrical roller bearings can be classified into the following categories based on their structural characteristics and application scenarios:

Single row cylindrical roller bearings: including NU type, N type, NJ type, NF type, NUP type, etc., suitable for bearing radial loads and a certain degree of axial loads.

Double row cylindrical roller bearings: compact structure, good rigidity, suitable for supporting heavy machinery and machine tool spindles.

Ultra precision cylindrical roller bearings: suitable for high-precision and high radial load conditions, such as machine tool spindle support.

Application scenarios of cylindrical roller bearings

Classfication

1. The outer ring has no blocking edge N0000 type and the inner ring has no blocking edge NU0000 type. This type of cylindrical roller bearing can accept large radial loads, has a high limit speed, does not restrict the axial displacement of the shaft or housing, and cannot accept axial loads.

2. The NJ0000 and NF0000 cylindrical roller bearings with both inner and outer rings equipped with ribs can restrain axial displacement in one direction of the shaft or housing, and can accept small unidirectional axial loads. The NU0000+HJ0000, NJ0000+HJ0000, and NUP0000 bearings are capable of restraining axial displacement in both directions of the shaft or housing within the axial clearance range of imported bearings, and can accept small bidirectional axial loads.

N. NU type

The outer ring of an N-type bearing has no blocking edges, while the inner ring has blocking edges on both sides. It is possible to allow displacement in both axial directions between the shaft and the bearing seat. NU type bearings have ribs on both sides of the outer ring and no ribs on the inner ring. It is also possible to allow displacement in both axial directions between the shaft and the bearing seat. Therefore, this type of structure is suitable for use as a moving end bearing.

NJ and NF types

The outer ring of NJ type bearings has ribs on both sides, and the inner ring has ribs on one side. Can withstand a certain amount of unidirectional axial load. The outer ring of NF type has a blocking edge on one side, and the inner ring has blocking edges on both sides. It can also withstand a certain amount of unidirectional axial load. Therefore, this type of structure is suitable for use as a unidirectional axial positioning bearing.

NUP and NFP types

The NUP type bearing has a retaining edge on both sides of the outer ring, a fixed single retaining edge on one side of the inner ring, and a detachable flat retaining ring on the other side. Can withstand a certain amount of bidirectional axial load.

The outer ring of NFP type bearings has a (fixed) single gear edge on one side, while the other side is a detachable flat retaining ring with gear edges on both sides of the inner ring. It can also withstand a certain amount of bidirectional axial load. This type of structural bearing can limit the displacement of the shaft relative to the bearing seat in two axial directions. Therefore, it is suitable for use as a fixed end bearing.

NH (NJ+HJ) type

NH type bearing is a structure composed of NJ type bearing and HJ type inclined retaining ring. Due to the short inner ring of NUP type bearings and the non fixed flat retaining ring, it is inconvenient to use, while NH type bearings can utilize the width of the entire inner ring of NJ type bearings to maintain a tighter fit with the shaft. Moreover, NH type bearings are more convenient to install and disassemble.

NH type bearings can limit the displacement of the shaft relative to the bearing seat in two axial directions. Therefore, it is suitable for use as a fixed end bearing.
