Schaeffler innovates wheel hub bearings, empowering the future of new energy vehicles
Schaeffler's new wheel hub bearing production line is put into operation, marking the milestone of the 40 millionth product being offline
Recently, Schaeffler announced the official launch of its newly added wheel hub bearing production line at its manufacturing base in Taicang, and celebrated the successful production of the 40 millionth G3 series wheel hub bearing, marking another significant progress in Schaeffler's high-end automotive parts manufacturing field.
Schaeffler wheel hub bearings: technological innovation leads industrial upgrading
The focus of Schaeffler's expansion this time is its unique wheel hub bearings with end face spline design, which performs excellently and represents the forefront of Schaeffler's technological innovation. Thanks to patented end face spline technology and low friction design, this bearing has achieved comprehensive optimization in friction reduction, torque transmission efficiency, lightweight design, and energy efficiency improvement. Compared with conventional designs, this bearing can increase the torque carrying capacity by 50%, reduce weight by 10%, and reduce friction loss by 34%, directly helping to improve the energy efficiency of automobiles by 0.6% and bringing substantial improvement to the endurance of new energy vehicles.
Boosting the performance leap of new energy vehicles
Schaeffler emphasizes that this innovative design demonstrates significant advantages in the field of new energy vehicles, not only meeting high torque requirements, but also playing a key role in improving the range of electric vehicles through lightweight and ultra-low friction design.
Global layout, capacity expansion to meet market demand
At present, Schaeffler's end face spline wheel hub bearings have been widely used in new energy vehicle models of many mainstream automobile manufacturers around the world. The operation of the new production line will further expand the production capacity of Schaeffler's Taicang base, provide stronger capacity support for the rapidly growing new energy vehicle market, and consolidate Schaeffler's leading position in the global new energy vehicle industry.
