Several methods for identifying the quality of FAG bearings
1. Is the outer packaging clear
In general, legitimate brands have their own dedicated designers to design the external packaging and arrange factories with qualified production conditions for production. Therefore, the packaging is very clear and unambiguous from lines to color blocks.
2. Is the steel stamp clear
The brand name, number, etc. will be printed on the imported bearing body of FAG. The font is very small, but most of the products produced by the factory use steel stamping technology and are pressed before being overheated. Therefore, although the font is small, it is deeply recessed and very clear. The font of counterfeit products is not only blurry, but also due to rough printing technology, the font floats on the surface, and some can even be easily erased by hand.
3. Whether the chamfer is uniform
The so-called chamfer of FAG imported bearings refers to the junction between the horizontal and vertical surfaces. Due to production technology limitations, counterfeit FAG imported bearings are not processed satisfactorily at these edges and corners.
Correctly grasping the usage location, usage conditions, and environmental conditions of FAG bearings in mechanical devices is a prerequisite for selecting suitable FAG bearings. To achieve this, it is necessary to obtain data and information in the following areas:
(1) Function and Structure of Mechanical Devices
(2) The usage location of FAG imported bearings
(3) FAG bearing load (size, direction)
(4) Rotation speed
(5) Vibration and impact
(6) FAG bearing temperature (ambient temperature, temperature rise)
(7) Surrounding atmosphere (corrosive, clean, lubricating)
4. Is there any noise
Grasp the inner sleeve of the FAG bearing with your left hand and rotate the outer sleeve with your right hand, listening for any noise. Due to the outdated production conditions and completely manual workshop style operation of most counterfeit products, impurities such as sand are inevitably mixed into the FAG bearing body during the production process, causing noise during rotation. This is the biggest difference between genuine brands that strictly adhere to production standards and operate with machines.
5. Are there any turbid oil stains on the surface
Special attention should be paid when purchasing FAG imported bearings. Due to the current lack of advanced rust prevention technology in China, it is easy to leave thick oil stains on the bearing body during rust prevention treatment, which can be sticky and thick when held in hand. However, there are almost no traces of rust prevention oil on imported bearings from foreign countries. However, careful experts say that imported bearings smell like rust prevention oil, which must have been applied, but it cannot be seen.
