What are the precautions for assembling bearings?
Correct installation of bearings has a direct impact on their precision, durability, efficiency and other aspects. The general requirements apply to standard projects and mainly include:
(1) Cleaning of bearings and related components
(2) Check the dimensions and accuracy of components
(3) Installation process
(4) Various checks after assembly
(5) Fat supply
Pay particular attention to the following points:
1.Concentricity of the inner and outer rings to avoid axial deviations
Shaft misalignment is a very common phenomenon that can cause uneven oil film thickness in the bearing, which can lead to oil film collapse and premature bearing failure. When installing you can use the entire hull structure. If two bearing holes are mounted in different shells, they must be connected through the hole.
2. Incorrect installation leads to insufficient bearing play
During operation, the temperature of the shaft is generally higher than that of the outer ring, and the thermal expansion of the shaft is greater than that of the outer jacket. If the space is too small, traffic jams may occur.
3. Types of cooperation between rotating and stationary coils
The type of bearing fit shall be determined based on bearing type and size, load, direction and load characteristics. In general, the fit of a rotating ring is tighter than that of a fixed ring. For high-speed, high-stress, high-vibration operating conditions or when mounting on thin-walled housings or hollow shafts, a narrower mounting type should be selected. However, it should be borne in mind that a too tight fit can lead to a reduction or even disappearance of the bearing clearance and deformation of the inner and outer rings.
4. Bearing preload too high
A low preload force can cause vibration and noise to the bearing during operation because the clearance is too large and the rigidity and accuracy are reduced. However, if the preload force is too high, the friction between the rolling element and the raceway will increase, resulting in faster heating and lower gear efficiency. The position of the bearing ring can be kept relatively stable through sufficient preload force.
5. Open the storage packaging before installation.
Bearings received after opening the package and removing the rust inhibitor are prone to rust. The bearing packaging must be opened during installation to avoid contamination and rust of the bearings.
